Axe MTF Elite XL

MTF Elite XL – the largest of the MTF axes. It is designed for splitting medium and larger logs. The detailed geometry of the blade, the fibreglass-reinforced handle and the handle with non-slip SAFETOUCH surface make this axe an indispensable tool for processing even larger quantities of wood. Like the entire range of MTF Elite axes, this model is characterised by its extremely long service life and excellent utility properties. It has a blade made of high quality induction hardened steel. The axe head is solidly welded to the handle. The ergonomically shaped handle made of a special fibreglass composite can withstand pressure, ageing and weather conditions without problems. The non-slip SAFETOUCH™ surface provides a secure grip and comfort when chopping.

A practical cover is included for safe handling and easy storage.

INDUCTION HARDENED STEEL
Thanks to high-quality modern materials and surface treatment, MTF Elite axes are characterised by their long service life and excellent utility properties. The sharp axe blade is made of induction hardened steel with anti-corrosion treatment.

Induction hardening is a method of creating a hard surface layer on steel based on rapid heating by an induced current of medium or high frequency using an inductor whose shape corresponds to the shape of the axe blade.

The axe head is welded firmly to the blade, so there is no risk of it separating during work. The ergonomically shaped handle fits perfectly in the hand. It is made of a special composite material and reinforced with fibreglass, so it can withstand bending, pressure, ageing and weather conditions without problems.
