Interesting fact
Chenin blanc is a world-renowned, highly prized grape variety. The first evidence of its cultivation dates back to 9th century France. The origin of the variety was unclear for a long time. In 1999, DNA analysis was carried out in Austria and subsequently in France, which suggested that Chenin blanc is closely related to the Sauvignon variety.
